The Cause of Stress That Can Be Reduced & Even Eliminated From Your Life
My clients come to me with many stress symptoms, although the deeper cause of stress is what we address and heal together. There are many physical symptoms of stress like heart palpitations, headaches, and high blood pressure, but my main concern here is with the signs of stress that precede and cause the physical ailments. Negative Emotions Are The Main Cause of StressAnger, anxiety, worry, fear, frustration, sadness, resentment, self-criticism, annoyance, frustration and impatience all cause my clients great suffering. Sometimes the symptoms eat away at them inside, and eventually cause both physical and mental diseases like depression, clinical anxiety conditions, or even PTSD. Sometimes the stress symptoms manifest outwardly more than inwardly, and result in expressions like irritability, lethargy, restlessness, and even verbal and physical rage toward the client's loved ones, friends and co-workers. Sometimes they manifest in self-destructive behavior as well. Underlying Cause of StressIn every single case, regardless what stress symptoms are manifesting with each client, tension underlies it all. We are not taught as we grow up how to relax, or even what
relaxation
really is. We are not told that our bodies unconsciously take on physical tensions and holdings in response to our negative thinking patterns each and every moment of our lives, compounded yearly. We are not taught how to release the tension. Tension Multiplies UnconsciouslyWhat little "relaxation" we do during our lifetime does nothing toward preventing future tensions and holdings from building up within our very cells, as we continue habitually destructive thought patterns. Most of the time we are unconscious about this, but on the occasion in which we do notice the tension, we think "Why am I so tense? I don't know how to let go of this." The Most Self-Destructive Thought We Have: The 'Big One'We all have some variation of this self-destructive thought: "It shouldn't have to be this way." I call this comment that echoes in the minds of humanity 'the big one.' The reason for that is because more than any other single thought, this is the thought that builds up the greatest amount of tension and resistance in our bodies. This thought adds the most to our proverbial pools of pain and poison within. Resistance Is Really The Main Cause of StressWe don't know how to accept what is without resistance; we either push things away or hold them too close, but most people don't know how to simply accept. And so we continue the vicious cycle. How I can Help YouThis site is about turning that vicious cycle into a virtuous one. We do this by re-training your mind to let go of resistance. You can learn to become completely and fully present in your own life to the best of your ability, and to consistently enjoy your life in a relaxed manner. I know that you can, because I have done it myself and I have taught my clients to do this. In this way we can all reduce and even eliminate the
cause of stress.
